Edward Francis "Ed" Kennedy passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 5, 2025, in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, at the age of 90. Born on December 9, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, Ed lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and a passion for technology and travel. Ed's final residence was at Gloria Dei Farms in Hatboro with his wife, Nancy.
Ed began his education at Good Shepherd Elementary School and continued to Brooklyn Technical High School, where he laid the groundwork for a lifelong interest in computer systems analysis. His professional journey led him to become a Systems Analyst—a career he often described as the best decision he ever made. It was his job at Unisys, that allowed Ed to have global experiences, including an extended stay in Japan and multiple trips to Europe.

From October 1953 to October 1955, Ed served honorably in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged with the rank of PFC. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment—values he carried with him throughout his life. Ed also enjoyed skiing, playing golf, and traveling extensively. While he visited over 25 countries during his lifetime, it was clear that no destination meant more to him than home—where his heart belonged with his wife, Nancy. Ed especially enjoyed the many trips to Disney World with his children and grandchildren. One of his most favorite trips was to visit Ireland with his wife, Nancy. He also was an avid New York Giants and New York Mets fan.

Family was the cornerstone of Ed's life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Nancy T. Kennedy; their five children: Laurie (Chris Malone ) Kennedy, Kathy (Bill) Atchison, Eileen (Christine Meier) Kennedy, Edward (Stephanie Wenstrup) Kennedy , and Terry (Scott) Purnell.

Ed took immense pride in his grandchildren: Chris Depew, Whitney Depew, Shannon (Tyler) Forney , Emily (John Paul) Allen, Brendan Malone, Jack Purnell, and Jason Kennedy. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Zachary Depew, Danielle Stevens, and Harper Forney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fiorita Ferrara Kennedy and Edward F.
Kennedy; brothers Matthew, Vincent and George, and sister Janey Maley.

Those who knew Ed remember him as a kind man whose guiding principle was always family first. He often said that "The country would be in a better place, if everyone had a family like ours" a sentiment that speaks volumes about the values he held dear. He instilled in his children the importance of building a strong foundation—an enduring gift that will continue through generations.

May Edward Francis "Ed"; Kennedy's memory bring comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.

The family will receive friends and family paying their respects beginning at 9:30am on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at St John Bosco RC Church Warminster, PA. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00am, followed by private interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to the Alzheimer 's Association alz.org in memory of Ed Kennedy.
