67 years of age and resident of Whitehall, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late George F. and Joan F. (McDonnell) Vandegrift.
Eileen worked in the field of law for almost 50 years, most recently as a Senior Paralegal at Gross McGinley Law Offices. Her love of law, her attention to detail, and her strong work ethic made her an invaluable asset to both her co-workers and the clients.
An avid puzzler, she could solve the hardest crossword and jigsaw puzzles in no time. Eileen loved a challenge and could beat anyone in trivia contests! She enjoyed life, had an enthusiastic sense of humor, was a Wizard of Oz fanatic, a huge Beatles and Elvis fan and was thrilled to see the Beatles Cirque de Soleil in Las Vegas and Elvis' Graceland in Memphis. Eileen was also active in her community. For example, she was a notary for many years and helped Veterans with legal documents. She was also proud to serve as Cub Master for Troop 79 when her sons were young.
Eileen loved being a mother more than anything else. Her sons, Andrew and Michael, were her pride and joy. She always made sure she was home for their first day of school and was there to greet them when they got off the bus. Her family loved her fiercely, and she put so much fun, laughter, and sparkle in all the family holidays, especially Christmas, which she hosted for many years. She believed you should leave a little "sparkle" everywhere you go.
Her positive outlook was contagious, her sense of humor unmatched, and she was a true and loyal friend. Eileen left an indelible mark on so many lives, she will be missed beyond words.
Survivors: Sons Andrew P. Miller and Michael K. Miller and his partner Crysbell Maggiolo. Sisters Patricia Ruffing, Paula Zangari (Anthony), Jodi Beckett, and Laura Vandegrift and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
