Eleanor Jean Minter, 75, passed away peacefully in Orlando, Florida. Born on July 15, 1950, Eleanor was a believer in Jesus Christ, taught Sunday School for many years, and sang in the church choir at First Baptist Church in Smithville, Missouri.
Eleanor worked for 34 years at Spelman Memorial Hospital and retired from St. Luke's Hospital on Barry Road, Kansas City, MO.
She was married to Ronald Minter for 48 years. They shared three children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Eleanor loved her family, the Kansas City Chiefs, gardening, and her fur kids; Abby, Sapphire and Bob.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Cathy Manley (Mike) of Orlando, Florida; son, Michael Minter of Osborn, Missouri; and son, Steven Minter (Jill) of Gower. She is also survived by her brother, John Chapin of Safford, Arizona; and a niece a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Alta Chapin, and her sister, Cindy Rutledge (Weaver).
A private family remembrance will be held, with a memorial service planned at a later date.
