Erica Lynn Greene (née Riker), 48, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Pawcatuck, Connecticut. Born on August 4, 1977, in Warwick, Rhode Island, Erica lived a vibrant and active life that touched many.
As the daughter of Lynn and Gerald Riker, Erica grew up in a military family that took her across the globe. Her early years were spent in Germany, Wisconsin, Texas, and eventually back to Rhode Island. These experiences shaped her resilient spirit and broadened her perspective from a young age.
Erica attended North Kingstown High, where she quickly distinguished herself as an exceptional athlete. A gifted gymnast, softball player, and cheerleader; one of her proudest achievements was when she won the Rhode Island state title for Cheering, which highlighted her dedication and talent in the sport. She was invited to London, England to represent the state of RI in a New Year's Day parade—an experience that she would never forget.
Her passion for cheerleading continued throughout her life. As a devoted mother, Erica poured her energy into supporting her children’s activities with unwavering enthusiasm. She especially cherished being a Cheer mom for Ashley and her friends—attending every game, practice and competition with pride and joy. Her presence in the stands at all of Devon's sporting events, was a constant source of encouragement and love.
Erica was happiest when she was with her friends and family. Whether it was dressing up and going to an event with friends, going to a Marvel movie or Red Sox baseball game with her son, going on a shopping adventure with her daughter, playing trivia with her family, going to the Trap with her mom, dad and brother or simply sitting home watching her favorite shows with everyone. Erica loved her family and friends without bounds.
Erica is deeply missed by her husband of 22 years, Richard Greene; her son, Devon Greene; and her daughter, Ashley Greene. She also leaves behind her parents, Lynn and Gerald Riker; her brother Josh Riker and his wife Vera; nephews Domonic Gover and Zachary Riker; and a niece Aubrey Riker.

Calling hours will be held on November 19, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Gaffney - Dolan Funeral Home 59 Spruce St, Westerly, RI.
