Send Flowers Plant A Tree
June 21, 1980 - October 27, 2025

Erin Morris, PhD, was born on June 21, 1980. Erin passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 27th, 2025 after a very short, aggressive fight with cancer.

Erin was a strong proponent of education and held multiple degrees, including a Doctorate of Higher and Postsecondary Education. She enjoyed teaching as a professor in the fields of Humanities, History and Art History. She valued art, and appreciated many famous pieces, such as the Pieta by Michelangelo. Erin had a strong desire to seek knowledge and understanding from different perspectives, and she endeavored to convey that to her students. Erin had a unique outlook on life and enjoyed those aspects of spirituality and meditation. She continually found ways to incorporate this in her life.

One of Erin’s greatest accomplishments is her dedication to her family. She found and married her sweetheart Chad Morris soon after high school and was married for 25 years. Together, through great determination and love, they succeeded in receiving their sons, Caden Tae and Jack Minjoon, through adoption from across the world. Erin loved her family greatly, which was apparent to all around her. She was an exceptional mother and a special example of that role. Her joys in life were heavily grounded in the pride she held for her two boys as they developed their individual talents: Caden in wrestling, and Jack in music and Marching Band. She cherished every opportunity to watch them as they performed and excelled at their various events.

In addition to the love and support for her children, Erin had a strong affinity for nature and treasured being outdoors. Hikes, walks, and admiring nature were among the things she loved to do most. She delighted in plants and trees of all kinds and always found contentment among them.

Erin loved to travel and had traveled to four continents. Recently, Erin had the pleasure of returning to Sedona, Arizona. This was a place very dear to her heart, and she was able to enjoy time with her family while hiking amongst beautiful scenery.

Erin is survived by her husband of 25 years, Chad Bryan Morris, and their two children Caden and Jack. She leaves behind her loving mother, Wendy A. Moss, and her siblings Ryan, BreAnne, Britany and Brendan, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her caring father S. David Moss.

We would like to extend thanks to those who provided care and comfort to Erin and her family through this tribulation.
