Eugene "Bubby" Caston, 63, of Holden, Maine, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025,
surrounded by the family who loved him dearly.
Bubby was born on September 10, 1962, in Portland, Maine. He was predeceased by his mother, Linda
Miles, and his grandmother, Ethel Crone, both of whom held a special place in his heart.
Bubby was one of a kind — kindhearted, genuine, and full of love. He had a tender soul and an easy
smile that made everyone feel welcome. He loved spending time with his family, whether he was out
fishing or boating, playing cards, or just enjoying a good laugh together. He was also an extraordinary
artist whose talent and creativity will be remembered by everyone who saw his work.
He leaves behind his sister, Shelly Mellott of Bangor; his brother, Robert Caston of Veazie; and his
sister, Rhonda Bushwood and her husband, Timothy, of Holden. He also leaves behind many nieces
and nephews, all of whom he adored.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Harvest Chapel of Levant.
Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and celebrating a life lost too soon.
Bubby's kindness, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me"
Romans 8:38-39 - "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
