Forest Scholpp

Forest Scholpp passed away peacefully at his home in Palo Alto, California, on August 26, 2007, at the age of 74. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce, and their daughter Susie.

Born on August 1, 1933, in Rochester, New York, Forest led a life rich in service, exploration, and learning. His academic pursuits took him to Stanford University, where he laid the foundation for a meaningful personal and professional journey.

Forest served his country with honor as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. His leadership and commitment reflected a life guided by discipline, integrity, and quiet strength.

A true lover of the outdoors, Forest found deep joy in nature. He was an avid camper and hiker who delighted in exploring the wilderness. Whether kayaking through tranquil waters or capturing majestic landscapes with his camera, he embraced each experience with enthusiasm. Photography became one of his favorite ways to preserve and share those cherished moments.

At the heart of Forest's life was his family. His enduring bond with Joyce was marked by shared adventures and unwavering devotion. Their daughter Susie brought added joy to their lives, and Forest took pride in being present for her milestones.
