Frank Cuiule

Frank V. Cuiule passed away peacefully at the age of 101 on November 4, 2025 at his Hamilton Township, NJ home with family at his side.

Born in Trenton, NJ on August 2, 1924, Frank was raised in the Chambersburg neighborhood of Trenton, and was a lifelong area resident. Frank led a life of service to his country, to his fellow veterans, his community and to his family and many friends.

After graduating from Trenton High School, Frank worked for two years at the General Motors plant in Trenton as a riveter building the Avenger Torpedo bomber airplanes. Frank was a WWII Navy Combat Veteran in the Pacific volunteering for a critical mission aboard the SS Clovis Victory ship as a Signalman in the Battle of Okinawa, earning three medals and a promotion to Quartermaster. Following the war, Frank worked at the Veterans Administration and then in 1948 he joined the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier in Trenton for 52 years, retiring at the age of 75 in the year 2000.

Frank was an ardent fan of the New York Yankees, classic movies from the Hollywood Golden Era, and big band music, especially Glen Miller, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw. Living across the road from Veterans Park, Frank had a deep and longtime passion for playing tennis. His patented “drop shot” led his fellow players to exclaim “the Mailman Delivers”. In retirement, Frank would play tennis two or three times a day with his many friends, often encouraging the younger, inexperienced players to join with him and his friends in doubles, enabling the "rookies" to learn the game and become part of the tennis community. Frank and Connie enjoyed their many vacation travels to Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Most of all, Frank was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

A devout Catholic, Frank served the Church as a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Joachim’s Church, and as a proud parent of four children whom he had educated at St. Anthony’s Grammar and High School. In later years, he and his wife of 77 years, Connie, attended Our Lady of Sorrows.

Son of the late Antonio and Cristina (Lio) Cuiule, and brother of the late Vincent G. Cuiule and Mary Cuiule Crawford, Frank is survived by his wife Concetta (Connie) Belviso Cuiule, his daughter Geri Cuiule of New York City, his sons, Vincent R. Cuiule of Yardley, PA, Frank K. and wife Michelle Cuiule, Jeffrey Cuiule and wife Audrey Cusson of Saugerties, NY, his granddaughters Angela and husband David DiMartino, Danielle Cuiule and husband Raul Arguedas Nieri of Brooklyn, NY, three great grandchildren, Vincenzo, Luciana and Santino DiMartino, and several beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be at Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville NJ 08620, on Veterans Day, Tuesday, November 11 from 8am to 10am followed by Mass at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3800 E. State St, Hamilton, NJ. Entombment will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton.
