Fred Terrill
March 29, 1930 - September 28, 2025

Fred Terrill passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 95, in Federal Way, Washington. Born in Eugene, Oregon, on March 29, 1930, to Fred and Jennie (Robinson) Terrill, he lived a life defined by kindness, integrity, and devotion to family, faith, and community.

Fred earned his degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1953, where he was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. During his college years, he met his future wife, Edith, on a blind date—a partnership that became the foundation of their lifelong strength and compassion.

After serving honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957, Fred began a lifelong career with Pacific Northwest Bell, retiring as Vice President of Human Resources. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he gave generously of his time and talents, volunteering with William Temple House and the Episcopal Diocese of Oregon.

A devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Wilsonville, Fred was active in parish life for more than 30 years. His faith was a steady source of strength and guidance throughout his life.

Fred loved spending time at the Oregon Coast, a place filled with treasured memories shared with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edith Terrill. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Terrill; his son, Douglas Terrill; and his grandchildren, Erika Castro, Kelsey Gleeson, Mason Terrill, and Biana Terrill. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

A service celebrating Fred's life will be held Sunday, November 9, at 3:00 p.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Wilsonville, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to William Temple House in Portland, Oregon, in honor of Fred's enduring legacy of generosity and service.
