George Harry Estes Sr., aged 91, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Marana, AZ. Born on February 16, 1934, George was a man deeply admired for his loyalty, kindness, and caring nature. He was profoundly family-focused, cherishing time spent with loved ones, whether on adventurous trips to Las Vegas, family cruises, or simply enjoying the great outdoors. His encouragement and support uplifted many, making him a central figure in his community and family.
George graduated from Bangor High School in Bangor, ME, and proudly served in the United States Army, dedicating himself to the service of his country. His love for sports and the outdoors was evident through his hobbies, which included softball, horseshoes, horse racing, hunting, and fishing.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Frances D. Estes, and their four children: George H. Estes Jr. and his wife Tracey, Carlene Timms, Brenda Batista and her husband Teofilo, and Robert Estes and his wife Jana. George's legacy continues through his grandchildren Derrek, Travis, Meagan, Joshua, Tobias, Jarren, Reana, and Alexander and great-grandchildren, Allison and Aiden. He is also survived by his brother, Lee Palmer, and his wife Diana. George was preceded in death by his parents, Nellie and Alden Estes, his stepfather Raymond Palmer, his brothers Wesley Estes and Richard Palmer, his sister Bernadette Brown, and his grandparents Wesley and Minn. George's life was one of profound impact and enduring love, leaving a lasting legacy on all who knew him.
