George H. Trauger, Jr.

George H. Trauger, Jr., 92, husband of the late Margaret T. (Fulton) Trauger, died Monday, October 6, 2025, at his Trappe, PA home, following a long illness.

George was born on December 15, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late George H., Sr. and Antoinette (Klinger) Trauger. He was a graduate of A.D. Eisenhower High School, Norristown, PA.

Before retiring, George was a steelworker for the Alan Wood Steel Corp, Conshohocken, PA, and Cann & Saul Steel Co., Royersford, PA. He also worked for Bechtel's Dairy Royersford, PA.

George was social member of Friendship Fire Company, Royersford, PA.

George is survived by his sons, George H. Trauger, III, Trappe, and Hans E. Trauger, Royersford; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Shirley, wife of the late George Hughes, Skippack, PA, Donald, husband of the late Sandra (Rhoads) Trauger, Jacksonville, FL, and Terry, husband of Karen (Krill) Trauger, Trappe. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret A(nn) (Trauger) Soares, his siblings, Marie Fricker, Joyce Strawbridge. Jeanne Robinson, and David, husband of Emma (Puhl) Trauger, Trappe.

George's funeral arrangements are private. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
