Gerald Dean Lomerson was born September 22, 1937 at his parents farm in Lake Orion, Michigan. At the age of 14 he left school and became a full time farmer on his Dad's farm. His love for travel eventually brought him to driving semi trucks hauling gravel, trees, and even a life size concrete elephant to name a few.

His summer passion was spending time at Chippewa Lake teaching the kids to water-ski. He put on ski shows and was known as Pop's by the younger crowd. Retirement was never in his vocabulary. After he quit driving truck he started working for a land developer, remodeling homes, building decks, and refurbishing two Chris-Craft wooden boats.

His short education never hindered him from accomplishing anything. He always came up with a solution to any challenge. He was always there for his family, friends, and anyone who needed a helping hand. He was a mentor to us all and will be greatly missed.

Left to forever cherish his memory are his daughter Carol Beyett, his wonderful friends, and his beloved Border Collie Dixie. He also leaves behind his daughter's Nancy Bickum, Susan Starke, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
