Born in Reno, Nevada, Gordon was the son of Alvin and Juanita Cooper. He graduated from McKenzie High School in 1971 and went on to serve four years in the United States Air Force. After his service, he completed a two-year program at Lane Community College.
Gordon built a respected career as a construction inspector, dedicating over 40 years to improving Oregon's highways, airports, and public infrastructure. His work touched countless lives and helped shape the communities he loved.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Known for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering loyalty, Gordon brought warmth and wisdom to every relationship.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Juanita Cooper, and his son, Nicholas Cooper. He is survived by his loving wife, Terri; daughter, Nacia; sisters, Chris and Shawneen; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Gordon will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
