Harold Edward "Rusty" Redman, age 69, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Rodney, Michigan. Born on May 10, 1956, in Lansing, Michigan.
A graduate of Leslie High School’s Class of 1974, Rusty built a life rooted in hard work and dedication. He spent much of his career as a mechanic and truck driver, eventually retiring from the Gratiot County Road Commission after 19 years of service. Known for his storytelling, he could always be counted on to share a good truck driving story.
Rusty had a deep love for machinery and spent countless hours working on his tractors and trucks. Rusty also loved cruising down backroads with his wife and dogs in search of the next great deal and slowing down to stop and smell the roses.
He is survived by his wife Connie Redman; sons Matt (Mary) Redman of Alma, Mike (Amanda) Redman of Lowell, Tim (Morgan) Redman of St. Louis; Justin (Jeanette) Schneider; Bradley (Amanda Maxa) Schneider; and daughter Shannon (Mike) Whyte; sisters Pam (Randy) Smith, Theresa (Dean) Hamel, Sue (Russ) Brown, Sister in Law's Linda (Greg) Rogers; Jeanne Murray and JoAnn Redman. As well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rusty was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Nancy Redman; brother Forest Charles Redman; granddaughter Addison Redman; and brother in law Carl Murray.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Rusty's life and legacy.
