Harriet Gail Christiansen, known affectionately as “Jessie” was born on March 18, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to Milton and Lillian Rosen, and sadly passed away on August 23, 2025, in Goodyear, AZ. She had a life well lived and her loving husband Greg was with her when she transitioned to be with God. Jessie was known for her devotion as a wife, mother, sister and friend. She was a dynamic presence in both her personal and professional life. Jessie’s working years were spent in customer service where she owned a waterbed store in Connecticut and later worked in hotel customer service in Arizona where she met her best friend Marie. She was appreciated for her dedication and warmth. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Jessie loved fashion and was a fashionista through and through. She found joy in the simple pleasures—spending time with her hubby hitting golf balls, ping pong, going on walks and drives, music that moved her soul, a good joke, shopping and movie popcorn! Jessie had a vibrant interest in animal welfare and was a passionate supporter of animal charities. Her love for all types of animals translated into significant contributions and involvement with various types of animal organizations. She so loved her precious cats, Mister & Cali and her many granddogs. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Christiansen; daughter, Sari Nieto (George); brother, Alan Rosen (Marie); and sister-in-law, Darlene Christiansen. Jessie was preceded in death by her mother and father. She also has many surviving family members and friends that she adored and appreciated. In lieu of memorial services, contributions in memory of Jessie can be made to the Arizona Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong support for animal welfare. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Her gentle and loving spirit will be forever missed.
