Helen Louise Buzzard (Slaughter), passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on September 11, 2025, in Sandwich, Illinois.
Louise was born May 14,1928 in Beaver, West Virginia, to the late Paris & Annie ,(Gross) Slaughter.
Louise was proceeded in death by her husband Gilbert Buzzard; daughters VickiLynn Garcia and Lisa Garcia. Siblings; Carlos Slaughter ,Dewey Slaughter,Otis Slaughter, Harold Slaughter, Vonna Epling,Wanda Cosner and Wilma St.Claire.
Prior to her move to Illinois, Louise attended Fellowship Baptist Church, in Wadsworth, Oh. Her church family continued to show their love and support for in spite of the miles that separted them. She was very thankful for their care and support.
She is survived by her son Mike Garcia (Cindy); grandchildren: Andrew Lange,Brian Lange, Kristyn Malkowski (Mark), Michael Garcia, and Scott Lange; Great granddaughter Lilly Lange.
Internment will take place at Hopewell Springs Baptist Cemetery,Madsiionville, TN.
