Henri (Hank) Schiller passed away on October 27, 2025, in Riverside, California, at the age of 66.
Hank was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Honore and Rosemary Schiller. The fifth of eleven children, he grew up surrounded by the bustle and love of a large family. His childhood was filled with hockey, baseball, golf, and sunny days spent at the Schiller’s lakeside cottage.
Hank attended the University of New Orleans where he played on the men’s golf team and where he met the love of his life, Donna Ann Olson. The two married and started a life together in Louisiana, where Hank worked at Beau Chene Country Club and enjoyed crawfish boils with friends and family as much as early morning tee times.
The couple later moved to Palm Springs, California, where they welcomed three daughters, Page, Lauren, and Nikol. Hank built his career as a respected golf professional and general manager at some of Southern California’s finest courses, including PGA West, Moreno Valley Ranch, Oak Quarry, and Victoria Country Club.
Beyond his work, Hank found his greatest pride in being a father. He was a steady, encouraging presence at school events, softball games, and golf lessons, always cheering, teaching, and quietly showing his girls what strength, commitment, respect and kindness looks like.
After losing his beloved wife Donna in 2000, Hank faced life’s hardest challenge with courage and devotion. He raised his daughters with deep care, guiding them through their teenage years with love and support.
Hank will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, and the way he treated everyone with respect. He had a ready smile and a calm that steadied those around him. Whether sharing a round of golf, telling a great story, or hosting gatherings at his home, Hank enjoyed time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, their families, and his grandchildren, including Page Douglas, Ryan Douglas, Winnie Douglas, Arthur Douglas, Lauren Schiller, and Nikol Moen, Robert Moen, Harrison Moen, Josephine Moen, and June Moen; his ten siblings; and a large extended family who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Honore and Rosemary, and his wife, Donna.
A celebration of Hank’s life will be held at Preston and Simon’s Mortuary in Riverside, California on Monday, November 17th at 11:00 a.m. His graveside burial will be at 1:00 at Olivewood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to PGA Jr. League or American Society for Deaf Children, in memory of Hank’s loving and generous heart.
