Inez Johnson

Inez Johnson, a beloved matriarch, community leader, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, at Wellstar MCG Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.
Known to all as Mommie Nez, Inez was born on March 22, 1933, in Sylvania, Georgia. At the young age of 8, Inez gave her life to Christ and joined St Andrews UMC where she worked and served faithfully her entire life.
Inez lived a remarkable life defined by love, community service, and unwavering dedication to her family, church and community.Her spirit of generosity, warmth, and heartfelt conversations touched countless lives, and her legacy will forever be remembered.
The world is a better place for having known Mommie Nez, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to be touched by her grace.
