John “Jack” Coletti, 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Christopher House in Worcester. Born in Boston to Ernest and Barbara Ann (Stacey) Coletti, Jack grew up with 10 Coletti siblings in a lovingly comedic home and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1972.
A lifelong hard worker with a generous spirit, Jack owned Matfield Corner Market in Bridgewater and later worked for New England Decks and Flooring. His work ethic was unmatched, driven by a desire to give more than he ever took.
A true New Englander, Jack was a devoted fan of the Patriots and all Boston sports, a loyal member of the Floor Coverers Union, and an avid golfer who cherished his annual trips to the Bahamas.
Jack is survived by his three daughters — Kelsey, Alaina, and Nina — and seven grandchildren: Robert, Vivian, Jonah, Rose, Brogan, Sawyer, and Tristan. He will be deeply missed as the foundation of his family, having poured love into every minute of his life.
His greatest gift was his presence — steady, joyful, and full of heart. He never feared the future because he lived so fully in the moment. Jack had a rare gift for making people feel seen and at ease; to him, no one was ever a stranger.
He spent his later years in Virginia, proudly embracing his favorite title: Grampie. Up and down the East Coast, he made it his mission to stay close to his kids and grandkids, keeping everyone in a steady rotation of love, laughter, and loyalty. His visits were legendary — the kids would sprint to the door when his truck came around the corner, because when Grampie arrived, the world got a little louder, funnier, and fuller.
He gave of himself daily — never for recognition, always out of love. Every scraped knee kissed, every recital attended, every birthday over the top — Jack showed his care through action.
He was fearless and strong, a man whose stature reflected his spirit — larger than life, defined by a love that filled every room.
Fiercely loyal, endlessly kind, and forever ours — our pal, our dad, our Jackie, Uncle Jack, Grampie. Our comfort, our laughter, and the hands that held us all together.
He will be missed beyond measure.
