JAMES ANDREW RUND (Jimmy), resident of Temecula, California, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep on November 4, 2025, at the age of 73.

Jimmy was born November 20,1951 in Houston Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Robert L. Rund and his brother Robert L. Rund Jr. Jimmy’s family moved to Moreno Valley in 1956 when his father became stationed at March Air Force Base. Jimmy graduated from Perris High School in 1969. Shortly thereafter, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he would serve at Fort Hood Army base, in Texas from 1970-1972. After completing his military service, he returned home and graduated from Riverside Community College.

In Riverside County, Jimmy dedicated 42 years to the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier, serving from 1978 to 2020. Throughout these decades, he became a familiar and trusted figure, known for his commitment and positive impact within the community.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Rosemeri, their daughter Tiffany Winans, her husband Jason (J.J.) Winans, granddaughters Olive Rose Winans and Ivy James Winans. He is also survived by his two sisters, Patti Rund Reynolds (Jon) of Encinitas, Barbara Rund of Menifee, brother David Rund (Alma) of Rancho Cucamonga, sister-in-law Ginny Rund of Menifee, six nephews and five nieces. Jimmy will be remembered as a man of faith, a devoted servant, a loving husband, a cherished father and “Pop-Pop”, an avid sports fan, a zealous golfer and faithful friend.

The family welcomes you to attend Jimmy Rund’s Celebration of Life service. It will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bridge Church, located at 38801 Calistoga Drive, Murrieta, California 92563. A military Internment will be held the following day at Riverside National Cemetery.
