Jane was born Jane Susan Molyneux, in Bromley, England on June 24, 1957.
Her father, Harold, was a chemical engineer, and her mother, Patricia, a homemaker.
Her father worked in the early semi-conductor industry, which took the family from England to Pennsylvania to Wales, eventually settling in Saratoga, California in the mid-1970's.
Jane attended University at U.C. Davis, where she majored in Political Science. After completing her degree at Davis, she planned a career in Human Resources.
But, Jane eventually found her calling as the Assistant to the Superintendent of Los Gatos Saratoga Unified High School District. Jane spent 17 years supporting the various Superintendents and School Boards. She was absolutely indispensable to the smooth operation of the District, and everyone knew it. Jane was a naturally gifted writer, a skill which her District depended heavily upon in her role as District spokesperson.
When she least expected it, Jane met the "love of her life", Tom Yacoe, with whom she spent her last seven years. Although they both wished they could have spent their entire lives together, they certainly shared more than a lifetime's worth of love during those seven beautiful years.
Jane loved to decorate, and she effortlessly turned their home into a work of art. She possessed a natural sense of style, which transformed everything she touched.
Even when confronted with Stage 4 lung cancer, Jane managed her medical care with the same spirit with which she managed her career and her personal life. She steered straight ahead, made no excuses, and never complained. She simply lived her life. And she accepted the outcome of her illness with grace, dignity, and peace.
Her incredible attitude and that fantastic smile allowed the people around her to often forget about her serious illness. In fact, she was still planning vacations with Tom, and was still decorating their home, right up until the end.
Jane passed away peacefully at home, in Tom's arms, on May 14, 2023. She is painfully missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her.
She leaves behind her soul-mate in love and in life, Tom Yacoe; her brother John Molyneux and his family; her 3 children Philip, Alex, and Katherine and their families. She also leaves behind her step-daughter Amanda and her family; as well as relatives in both the US and UK.
She also sadly leaves behind her beloved little dog, Henry.
The world will never be the same.
