Janice Irene Shonyo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Janice Irene Shonyo, age 80, on October 14th, 2025 in Nevada. She was surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love.

Born on March 31st 1945 in San Leandro to Irene & George Martel, she had an identical twin sister Jeanne, and an older Brother, Richard.

Janice dedicated her life as a wife and home maker, raising 4 daughters with her Husband Dale, her favorite times were watching her girls dance, and family trips to Hawaii. Living in Pleasanton, Danville, and Temecula, before moving to Vegas in 2006 .

She was proceeded in Death by her Husband Robert Dale Shonyo (2016), parents and siblings. She will be remembered fondly by her loved ones: Children: Leslie Shonyo Slay, Laurie Shonyo Delaney, Lynette Shonyo Oliver, and Lisa Shonyo Beavers. Son in Laws: Dave Delaney, Matt Beavers, Jeff Slay, and Grandchildren- Brittany Delaney Law, Jeffrey Davidson, Kelsie Delaney Redfearn, Ryan Davidson, Tyler Oliver, Jenna Delaney, Gavin Beavers, Ryan Ashlee Beavers, and many friends. She leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever.
