Janine S. Shadle

Janine S. Shadle (Young), 65, of Fountain Valley, California, passed away on October 18, 2025, after a brief and fierce battle with cancer, with her beloved sons by her side.

Born on June 1, 1960, in Clinton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Clara Schroeder (Hall) and Walter Donatelli. Janine attended Camanche High School in Camanche, Iowa. She dedicated many years to her work as a Telemetry Tech at Orange Coast Medical Center in Fountain Valley, where her kindness and steady presence touched countless lives, patients and coworkers.

In her younger years, Janine found joy in painting and drawing. Later in life, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, whose laughter and love brought her immense happiness.

Janine is survived by her mother, Clara Hall of Fort Mohave, AZ; her brother, Jeffrey Young of Port Huron, MI; her children, Roger Thompson of Council Bluffs, IA and Wesley Young of New Orleans, LA; her nieces, Stacy Boulier and Stephanie Hendricks, both of Port Huron, MI; her aunt, Loretta Sullivan of Clinton, IA; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Louise Schroeder; her father, Walter Donatelli; her step-father, Harold Hall; her sister-in-law, Connie Oesterich; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Her family and friends will remember her as a caring mother, loving daughter, loyal sister and friend, and a woman whose gentle heart, caring nature, and creative spirit made the world a brighter place.
