Valdosta, GA (formerly of Syracuse, NY)

Jay Migdal, 60, of Valdosta, Georgia, formerly of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, from complications following a recent kidney transplant.

Born on August 10, 1965, in Syracuse to Joyce (Casler) Migdal and Louis John Migdal, Jay proudly served in the National Guard in his younger years, receiving an honorable discharge. He went on to build a long career in the paving industry and, in later years, worked at Walmart in Camillus, NY, where he was a valued member of the maintenance team for seven years.

Jay will be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family and friends, and for his selfless willingness to help anyone in need. His quick wit, sharp sarcasm, and good-natured "grumpy" humor made him unforgettable to all who knew him. Jay had a passion for classic cars, especially his prized 1978 Corvette L82 Silver Anniversary Edition, which brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joyce and Louis Migdal, and his sister, Francine Pendall.

Jay is survived by his devoted wife and the love of his life, Trina Migdal, with whom he shared 18 wonderful years. He is also survived by his children: Jacob Migdal, Kristina Migdal, Brian White, Jason White, and Anthony White; 10 cherished grandchildren; and his sisters Karen (Patrick) Rush, Laurie (Jeff) Cook, Shannon (Ken) Scott, and Anna Migdal, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever miss his humor, loyalty, and big heart.

Per his wishes, Jay will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread at the ocean near St. Augustine, Florida — one of his favorite places to visit. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Jay's life was marked by love, laughter, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
