Jeane Armand Hough

Jeane Armand Hough passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at the age of 92. Jeane was born on July 22, 1933, in Waukegan, IL. to Frank and Eula (Glass) Hough. Jeane remained in the Waukegan area for the entirety of his life. He served his country during the Korean war returning to Waukegan to start his career of being a father to Jeanmarie, Dan, and Mike. He worked for years at the Waukegan Public Works where he enjoyed working with his hands and being outdoors. During this time, he also sold real estate for Mac and CBS Realtors and flipped homes. Never being sedentary, Jeane went to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in his retirement years, moving cars around the Chicagoland area for over 20 years. Jeane was a good artist, wood worker, and builder, accomplishing anything he set his mind on doing. The highlight of his life was his travels. Jeane was fortunate to travel extensively and relished in the beauty, culture, and culinary delights the world had to offer.

Jeane is survived by his children, Jeanmarie Slovnik of Waukegan, Dan Hough of Irvine, CA, and Mike (Leah) Hough of Beach Park, IL; grandchildren Chad, Max (Elise), Miku, and Shion and one great grandchild Walker. Jeane was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra R. Hough (Paulson), parents Frank and Eula and two brothers Don, and Frank (Muggs). Jeane was fortunate and grateful that he always had loving family and friends actively involved in his life every step of the way. A Catholic service will be held for Jeane at Ascension Cemetery on Friday November 7th at 10:00am followed by his internment.
