Jeanne Ann (Jarvis) Tobin, 94, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Care Center - Vi at Silverstone, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the beloved wife of Francis (Frank) W. Tobin, with whom she had just celebrated 69 years of marriage on October 13th.
Born in Iowa City, Iowa, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Charles F. Jarvis and Nora F. (Cusack) Jarvis. She was raised in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1949. Jeanne earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Wilson Teachers College in 1953. While both working at the NSA in Washington, D.C., Jeanne and Frank met over an office file cabinet, beginning a lifelong journey together that took them and their family across six states.
Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who took immense pride in her family. She was a passionate supporter of her community and children, actively participating over the years in various women's clubs and parent organizations for her children's many activities. Her kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of everyone she met.
Jeanne was predeceased by her beloved son, Francis (Frank) W. Tobin IV, and her dearest sister, Marilyn F. Jarvis, who passed away in February 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank; daughters Kathleen Tobin Erb (Bruce) and Christine Margaret Storholm, both of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren Devyn Storholm, Alex Storholm, and McKenna Erb; nephews David Tobin (Lorraine) and Michael Tobin (Jodi); niece Meg Brennan (Cory); cousin Bette Hope (Sam); and their families.
A private celebration of life and interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro, New York, at the convenience of the family.
