Jeffrey R Tuning

Jeffrey R Tuning, age 66, of Port St Lucie, FL, passed away tragically in a plane crash on August 5th, 2025, in Chinle, Arizona, while serving as Pilot in Command for CSI Aviation.

Jeff was born in Milwaukee, WI, to Richard and Gretalee Tuning. He is preceded in death by both parents and is survived by his second wife, Denise, children from his first marriage, Jeffrey (Jaima) and Genevieve (Nicholas), two grandchildren, Alexander and Francesca, and his sister, Laurie.

Jeff graduated from Mt Olive High School in New Jersey and went on to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was accepted into the Air Officer Candidate School, NAS Pensacola. In the Navy, he flew the A-6 Intruder and F-14 Tomcat. After 13 years of active duty in the Navy, he went on to fly for United Airlines and eventually JetBlue Airways. Following retirement from JetBlue, he flew for CSI Aviation, doing medical transport.
