Joan A. Grimm, 87, of Waymart, PA passed away on Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, after a short illness. Predeceased by her husband Peter H. Grimm, they celebrated 64 years of marriage. She was born November 19, 1937, in Wayne, NJ, the daughter of late Irving and Virginia Grieves. She graduated high school in Wayne, NJ and shortly after married at the young age of 18. She was a dedicated stay-at-home mom while becoming a very successful "Avon Lady". She and her husband owned and operated multiple laundromats and dry-cleaning businesses in NJ. After moving to PA in 1977, they purchased and managed Ponderosa Pines Campground and Cottages. She also owned a gift shop for a short time in PA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Masonic organization. Joan loved life and had a heart as pure as gold. She shared an abundance of love, caring and kindness to everyone around her. Survived by three loving children: Carol Johnson and husband Douglas, Peter Grimm, and Diane Mitchell and husband James, all of NJ. Four grandchildren: Jessica Alfano, Chloe Johnson, Charles Johnson, Bradley Mitchell. Three great-grandchildren: Norah, Juliette, Parker Alfano. A brother: Arnold Grieves and wife Judy of FL. Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Embury United Methodist Church, 49 Church St, Little Silver, NJ with a celebration-of-life luncheon immediately following at the church.
