Joan Jaspersen

Joan Carol “Joanie” Jaspersen, age 65, passed away on October 28, 2025, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the city where she was born and spent her life.

Born on August 20, 1960. Joanie was a graduate of Tartan High School. She went on to build a dedicated and successful career, working at Ecolab for the past 25 years. Prior to that, she contributed her talents to the St. Paul Companies. Her professional life was marked by loyalty and commitment—qualities that also defined her personal relationships.

Joanie is lovingly remembered by her mother, Jean Jaspersen; her sisters Faith (Michael Lockett) and Sue Jaspersen; her niece Hope Lockett; her uncle Jim McNeely; and many cousins who cherished her presence in their lives. She was preceded in death by her father Frank Jaspersen; her grandparents; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Known for her generous spirit and warm heart, Joanie brought joy to those around her through both action and presence. She was an excellent teammate on local softball and volleyball teams, where she was known not only for her athleticism but also for the fun and camaraderie she brought to every game.

Her kindness extended beyond family and friends. Each year, Joanie thoughtfully shopped for toys to donate to a holiday party benefiting children in foster care—a tradition that reflected her deep compassion for others. She especially loved being an aunt—not just to those related by blood but also to many others who were lucky enough to be embraced by her generous spirit.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanie’s memory to a foundation that promotes the wellbeing of children or animals — causes close to her heart.
