John Cody McFadyen, born Dec. 30, 1946, died Oct. 8, 2025. Named for his father and maternal grandfather, was born to John and LaVerne McFadyen in Louisiana . His sister LaDonna joined the family the following year and they moved to Ft. Worth, Texas. All who knew him well, called him "Cody." Cody forged life long friendships as early as the second grade.
Cody attended Texas Christian University In Ft. Worth for two years. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and worked on an air craft carrier during his military service. Cody was a prominent member of the Scientology community. His participation and contributions to his religion were numerous. Cody created a variety of home improvement businesses, including a burglar bar company and a siding company in Killeen, Tx. followed by Cody Builders, Cody Pools, Oasis Pools and Waterview Pools, Inc. in Austin, Tx. Cody was known for his exceptional taste in women, he was married 6 times, never giving up on his pursuit of love. He remained good friends with all of his previous wives which made for fun family gatherings.
Cody is survived by Kathleen McFadyen (wife), Renvie Crain (daughter), Laurice Ray "Popeye" Crain (son-in-law), Michael McFadyen (son), Michelle Reeves (step-daughter), Ray Crain III (grandson), Mya Crain (granddaughter), Kenneth Crain (grandson), Phoenix McFadyen (granddaughter), Andrew Nesbitt (step-grandson)
LaDonna Logsdon (sister), Julie Logsdon Logan (niece), Baby Girl and Bella (pets).
He is preceded in death by Cody Walton McFadyen (son, 1968-2024).
