John H. Davidson of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born on June 25, 1943 in South Bend, Indiana where he lived until relocating to Lilburn, Georgia, in 1984.
John retired from The Torrington Company after 40 years of dedicated service.
He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1966. John was an active member of St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, where he participated in the Knights of Columbus, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was a longtime member of the Men’s Club. He was also a member of American Legion Post 233 in Loganville, Georgia. An avid gardener and certified Master Gardener, John had a deep passion for woodworking and furniture making. In recent years, he taught himself the art of vintage clock repair and found joy in gifting his restored clocks to friends and loved ones.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Elizabeth (Wehrmeyer) Davidson; his wife’s parents, George and Evelyn Szucs; and his brother, William “Bill” Davidson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia Davidson; his children, Michael (Rose Marie) Davidson of Boquete, Panama, Michelle (Brian) Sims of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Sean Davidson of Brooklet, Georgia; and his four cherished grandchildren, Garrett Davidson of San Jose, California, Trent Davidson of Atlanta, Georgia, Rosemarie Davidson of Portage, Michigan, and Connor Sims of Rockville, Maryland. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Thomas) Wisniewski; sister-in-law, Barbara Davidson; brother-in-law, Patrick (Sandy) Szucs; sister-in-law, Christine (Bernie) Crothers; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lawrence Kaplan and his staff for their compassionate care during John’s final days.
