John Michael Hutchison

John Michael "Mike" Hutchison was born December 12, 1953 in Polk County, Florida. He passed on September 29, 2025, at the age 71 after a battle with dementia.

A 1971 graduate of North Fort Myers High School, Mike enlisted in the Army in 1974 and served as a sergeant until 1980. He received a bachelor's degree from University of South Florida and a master's degree from Nova University. Mike was a hard-working and dedicated employee of the local telephone company for 39 years. He also served as the business manager for the local IBEW Union.

Mike was a man with a quick mind, a big heart, and an unmatched love for his family. He loved sports and was a talented athlete, especially in baseball, where he received a scholarship to play in college. Mike leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love - the man you wanted on your trivia team.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Hardy and Kathleen, brothers, Ken and Roger, sisters, Paula and Kathryn, and daughters, Natalie Kelley and Erin Abal.

Mike is survived by his children, Melodie Hutchison (Mike), Amanda Hutchison, Michael Sorrentino (Haley) and John Hutchison (Bliss); his grandchildren Austin, Camryn, Erin, David, Landon and Felix; his great-grandchildren Noah, Liberty, Kinsley, Easton, and Jameson; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 3:00pm at the National Cremation and Burial Society located at 3453 Hancock Bridge Pkwy, North Fort Myers, Florida 33903. There will be a reception to follow at Brookes Restaurant located at 4450 Hancock Bridge Pkwy, North Fort Myers, Florida 33903. Food will be provided.
