John Joseph Laramie

John Joseph Laramie, age 88, passed away October 4, 2025 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. He was born on January 30, 1937 to the late Ralph and Marie Laramie. John married Patricia Laramie on June 4, 1977. They were married for 48 years. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he was a truck driver in the 20th Transportation Battalion's 151st company and won the award for driving military vehicles more than 4,000 miles without an accident or traffic violation. Following his honorable discharge, John was also a truck driver with Hassett Moving & Storage where he applied the discipline and skills he acquired during his service. He retired after 28 years and moved to Mount Morris, Illinois where he and Patricia enjoyed their home and garden.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Marie Laramie; his beloved wife, Patricia Laramie; siblings Mary Underwood, Dorothy Gray, Elizabeth Cooke, and Robert Laramie. He is survived by his dear children, Anthony (Jill) Laramie and Jacqueline (Jeremy) Christen; beloved grandchildren Madison, Mason, Cora, and Stella; brothers Ray (Sharon) Laramie, Ralph (Carol) Laramie; and sister Patricia (Robert) Mareachen.
