John C. Osting

John Christopher Osting, age 42, of Cedar Lake, passed away on October 1, 2025.

John was a man with a good heart and a calm, steady presence. He was loyal, loving, and would do anything for his people. His family was his greatest pride, and he lived his life centered around the ones he loved most.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 16 years, Pamela, and their three daughters, Jayden, Jocelyn, and Jemma. He was also a loving father to Arabella, daughter of Cara. John's memory will be cherished forever by his mother, Tracy, his father, John, and his stepfather, Paul. He leaves behind his sisters, Jenavieve, Raychl, and Rebecca, and his brother, Jacob. John was a loving uncle to his Nephew Evan and his many nieces.

Those who knew John will always remember his gentle spirit, his quiet strength, and his way of making those around him feel safe and cared for. He had a gift for showing up when he was needed most and never hesitated to put others before himself.

Services will be held at Elmwood Memorial in St. John, Indiana, on Saturday, October 25, from 1:00-4:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor John's life, share memories, and celebrate the love and kindness he gave so freely. A Memorial Service will be held on October 25, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Elmwood Chapel 11300 W 97th lane
