In Loving Memory of Jorge Raúl Bermúdez Molina
Jorge Raúl Bermúdez Molina was born on April 15, 1942, in Lima, Peru, to Belisario Bermúdez and Violeta Molina de Bermúdez. On September 25, 2025, he passed away in Pinellas Park, Florida, closing a life that spanned more than eight decades.
Raised in Lima with his siblings Teresa, Dora, Eduardo, Lucho, and the youngest, Ricardo, he attended Colegio América High School (Callao) before beginning his career with the La Oroya Mining Corporation in Cerro de Pasco. His ambitions, however, carried him farther. With determination and courage, he moved to the United States to pursue higher education, first at Diablo Valley College and then at San Francisco State University, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. He was proud to have been one of the first international students admitted — a milestone he carried with pride throughout his life.
Returning to Peru, Jorge embarked on a distinguished career at Banco de Crédito del Perú, the nation’s largest bank. He built a long career there and ultimately served as General Manager of Technology, guiding the institution during years of transformation. His expertise later led him to a role as Special Technology Consultant to the Peruvian government. Eventually, his entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to establish ASC Consultores S.A., his own technology consultancy firm.
Jorge’s professional achievements reflected his discipline, intellect, and vision, and his legacy was his family. He is survived by his children — Coco (and Kerri), Carlos (and Sandy), Silvia María (and Gustavo), and María Andrea (and Gabriel) — and by his nine grandchildren: Alexa, Gabriella, Julia, Annaliese, Carlos, Margaret, William, Emilio, and Sienna, who lovingly knew him as “Papacoco.” Though life’s journey was not without its challenges, Jorge’s story continues through them — in their character, their accomplishments, and the heritage he leaves behind.
Jorge ("Coco") was a man of determination and vision, who carried his Peruvian roots with pride. His life was a story of perseverance, of seeking new horizons, and of leaving a lasting impact.
