Joe's legendary optimism and gracious style endeared him to everyone he knew. He was a man of great faith and an old-school gentleman. Joe was an avid letter writer, opera lover, tennis player, skier, singer, and softball coach to all his daughters. Win or lose, the team went for ice cream at Baskin-Robbins. His Boston accent and quirky socks were unmistakable. Joe loved gatherings and trips with family and friends. He had an ongoing sense of respect for others and treated everyone with understanding and a subtle sense of humor. Beyond his family, Joe cherished his friends and would often remark, "A friend is someone who comes in when the world goes out." Joe touched so many lives and will be remembered by them all.
