Send Flowers Plant A Tree
Judith Brenner of Chicago and Lincolnwood, Illinois, beloved daughter of the late Mildred and Al Tigerman, wife of the late David M. Brenner, died peacefully at her Evanston residence August 4, 2025. She is survived by her daughters Wendy and Rachel, and her extended Tigerman family. A Chicago native, and graduate of the University of Michigan, Judith was a tireless world traveler, visiting more than 50 countries with her husband David, often with the goal of protecting nature and wildlife. Judy served for decades as a volunteer docent at Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo, a position for which she chose to learn both Spanish and American Sign Language so as to better communicate with children on the tours she led at the zoo and in classrooms she visited all over the Chicago area. She later volunteered at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Judy enjoyed theatre, music, food, art, and literature from all cultures. She loved puns and word puzzles, and was a lifelong Cubs fan, attending countless games as a child with her beloved older brother, the late Bert Z. Tigerman. In lieu of flowers, donations to Chicago's Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum are appreciated.
