Judy Ann Guerra (Yawn), age 67, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family. 
Born on December 27, 1957 in Schenectady, New York, Judy lived a life marked by resilience, creativity, and deep devotion to her loved ones.
A graduate of Schalmont High School, Judy faced many challenges from an early age. Yet through perseverance and the unwavering support of her family, she overcame each obstacle with grace and determination. Her strength of spirit was matched only by her warmth and generous qualities that endeared her to all who knew her.
In 1995, Judy married the love of her life, Rick Guerra. Together they built a life filled with laughter, companionship, and mutual respect. Recently celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, Judy and Rick were not only devoted spouses but also the best of friends—a bond that stood as a testament to their enduring love.
Judy had a passion for helping others and spent time volunteering at San Antonio Methodist Hospital. Her kind heart and cheerful demeanor brought comfort to many during their most vulnerable moments. She also found joy in creative pursuits; she loved making jewelry and other crafts that reflected her vibrant personality. A fan of classic Westerns, Judy especially enjoyed watching John Wayne movies—an interest that added another layer to her colorful character.
Family was at the center of Judy's world. She is survived by her beloved husband Rick Guerra; sisters Debra North of Rockport, Texas, and Pamela Karl of Rotterdam Junction, New York; brothers James Yawn ( Lisa ) and Thomas Yawn of Rotterdam, New York; David Yawn of Kentucky; Richard Yawn ( Dorothy) of Huntsville, Texas.
Sister in laws , Olga Munroe ,Rosa Guerra , and Brother in law , Fernando Guerra all of San Antonio, Texas . 
She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Darrell Yawn; sister Susan Green; brother-in-law Salvador Guerra ( Sylvia ), sister in law Bette-jo Yawn , and niece Janessa Elizabeth Consenz.
Those who knew Judy will remember her as someone full of love and kindness—always ready with a story or a smile. Her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched through her compassion, creativity, and unwavering spirit.
We all will miss her immensely.
