June Kazuye Fukui of West Hills, California passed away on Friday, September 5th, 2025 at the age of 88. She was born on June 8, 1937 in Los Angeles, California the youngest of five children and the only daughter of Utanosuke 'Fred' and Shizue Oye. After internment in the Poston War Relocation Center during World War II, the family settled in Santa Maria. June graduated from Santa Maria High School in 1955 and attended one year of junior college at Allan Hancock College.

June worked as secretary and office manager during her career.

She is preceded in death by parents Utanosuke and Shizue Oye and four brothers Hiram, Sho, Ken and Ben.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Shigeru, sons Gregory, Glen (Olivia) and Ron (Suzanne), grandchildren Andrew, Ryan, and Steven, and nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.

The family would like to thank Drs. Omid S. Shaye and Khadir F. Kakal, their wonderful staff, and all the amazing health care providers at the UCLA West Valley and Santa Monica Medical Centers for the care and compassion they showed June in her final months.

In respect of June's wishes, no services will be held.
