Katherine McCarroll

Katherine Lynn McCarroll (née Blake), age 67, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Born on October 31, 1957, in Arlington, Texas, Katherine lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family and community.

Katherine was the beloved daughter of Gorden Blake and Alma Swaney. Throughout her life, she carried forward the values instilled in her by her parents—kindness, resilience, and a deep sense of compassion. She was preceded in death by both of them, as well as by her husbands Bud Adams and Ernest McCarroll.

A devoted mother and matriarch, Katherine is lovingly remembered by her children: Jeremy Brouer, Jason Brouer, and Kindra Moore. Her legacy continues through nineteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren who were the light of her life. She cherished every moment spent surrounded by her family—sharing laughter, stories, and unconditional love that will echo through generations.

Katherine’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. An active member of her church community, she found immense joy in worshiping with others, engaging in fellowship over coffee and heartfelt conversation, and sharing her unwavering love for Jesus with everyone she met. Her gentle spirit and radiant smile reflected the grace and peace of the Lord she loved so deeply.

Those who knew Katherine will remember her as loving, caring, and thoughtful—a woman whose life was a beautiful testimony of faith, perseverance, and love. Her presence brought warmth to every room she entered; her words offered comfort; her actions embodied kindness.

Though she will be deeply missed here on earth, there is comfort in knowing that Katherine is now at peace in the presence of her Savior—reunited with those who went before her.
