Katherine Jean Stewart English

Katherine "Katie" Jean Stewart English, of Greenhills, Ohio, passed away on October 10, 2025, after a brave and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert English.
Katie leaves behind a legacy of love and selflessness. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Tammy Pater(Luke) and Rachel Schmid(Chris Gavitt), as well as her cherished bonus children: Robert English Jr.(Kelly), Tammy English Beck(Jeff), and Nicole English Bendick(Robert Scott). She also leaves behind her adored bonus grandchildren — Nicole English, Brody Bendick, and Gabby Bendick — along with many nieces and grand-nieces whom she loved dearly.
Katie had a deep appreciation for nature and found joy in working in her yard, where she lovingly tended to her flowers and watched them bloom season after season. Her love for animals was boundless — from her loyal dogs Chewy and Obi, her grand dogs Peanut, Echo, Sadie, and Brutus, the countless stray cats she nursed to heath and fed, and the local wildlife she fed and cared for.
Known for her generosity and unshakable compassion, Katie was often the first to reach out to others during their darkest times — offering support, empathy, and a listening heart when no one else would. Her giving spirit touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
True to her nature, Katie wished for no formal funeral or service. She believed in expressing love and appreciation for others while they are living — a philosophy she lived by every day.
Katie will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will remain in our hearts forever.
