Kathleen (Kathy) Dillon, 56, passed away on November 10, 2025, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on August 13, 1969, in the same city she called home throughout her life, Kathleen brought warmth and creativity to all who knew her.
Kathleen was a deeply artistic and thoughtful person whose talents shone through in everything she did. She had a special gift for arts and crafts and was known for her incredible baking skills—especially her legendary Christmas cookies that became a cherished tradition among family and friends. Her caring nature extended to all creatures great and small; she was a devoted dog mom to her beloved Kaylie.
She is survived by her loving husband, James P. Hartnett Jr., who stood by her side with unwavering devotion. Kathleen also leaves behind a large and loving extended family. On her husband's side: mother-in-law Dot Hartnett; sisters-in-law Kelly (Sam) Martinelli and Jennifer (Kenny) Himes; brothers-in-law Michael Hartnett, Brian Hartnett, Danny (Jaci) Hartnett, and Kevin (Amanda) Hartnett; as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
From her own family, Kathleen is survived by her father Richard Ingham Sr., mother Kathy Nyce, stepfather Bob Nyce; sisters Renee Schmucker, Jennifer (Chris) Allmond, and Kristie Ingham; brothers David (Shannon) Ingham and Timothy Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law James P. Hartnett Sr., brother Richard Ingham Jr., and sister JoAnn Brothman.
Kathleen's legacy lives on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her—through the handmade gifts she lovingly created, the sweet treats she shared during the holidays, and the kindness she offered so freely. Her presence brought joy to every gathering, especially during Christmastime when her cookies filled homes with warmth and delight.
