Kathryn Anne "Dolly" Wilson passed away on August 19, 2025, in Albany, Oregon, at the age of 83. She was born on December 13, 1941, in The Dalles, Oregon, the youngest of eleven children of Annetta and Charles LaMarche.
Dolly graduated from The Dalles High School in 1959 and married Carl Dean Wilson on December 24 of that same year. They shared 58 years of marriage until Carl's passing in 2017. Together, they raised two daughters, NaeDean and Deanne.
A lifelong lover of horses, Dolly devoted much of her time to raising and training them, caring for more than 44 horses throughout her life. She and Carl especially enjoyed camping with their horses at Camp Sherman. Dolly also found joy in flower arranging and watercolor painting.
Her faith was an important part of her life. A devout Catholic, she served her community by providing communion at the hospital before her health declined. She was a caring grandmother who cherished storytelling and spending time with loved ones.
Dolly is survived by her daughter NaeDean (Darrin) Mahr and granddaughter Kaylee (Colin) Owens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wilson; and daughter, Deanne Poirer; her brothers, Donald, Francis, and Richard, Raymond; and her sisters, Mary, Dorothy, Evelyn, Margaret, Patricia, and Cecilia.
Donations in Dolly's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Saint Mary's Catholic Church, or Samaritan Evergreen Hospice.
