Kathy Rebecca Winstead, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, creativity, and joy. Born the youngest child of Ann and Bert Winstead, Kathy grew up surrounded by the warmth of family, which she carried with her throughout her life.

She is survived by her devoted partner, Tim Isenberg, with whom she shared the best years of her life. Tim lovingly cared for Kathy during the final months of her life, tending to her every need with unwavering compassion and devotion; her devoted children, Shaun Payne (Tracy), Tara Lin McDaniels (Marty), and Taylor Isenberg (Caroline); her cherished grandchildren, Carson and Travers Payne, and Kymber McDaniels; her loving siblings, Gary Harmon and Brenda Gardner (Ralph).

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Bert Winstead, whom she missed deeply and is now joyfully reunited with in Heaven.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Kathy was an active member of Harmony Grove United Methodist Church, where she found great joy spending time with her Sunday school class and sharing her faith.

Her friendships were lifelong treasures. Kathy kept in close contact with her high school friends and was known for her fun-loving spirit and ability to make anyone feel special.

Kathy had a green thumb and a true gift for landscaping. Her yard was a reflection of her artistic spirit, adorned with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and whimsical yard art that brought smiles to all who passed by. She was also a talented artist, expressing herself through beautiful paintings and creative craftwork that showcased her imagination and heart.

One of Kathy’s favorite things was celebrating Christmas. She transformed her home into a winter wonderland each year, with up to seven dazzling Christmas trees and decorations that amazed all who visited. Gift wrapping was her art form, and she delighted in creating magical moments for her family. She especially loved traveling with her brother Gary, searching for new art pieces, and always insisting on taking pictures—especially with Christmas trees!

Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless—she gave selflessly, always going above and beyond to make their lives brighter, whether cheering them on at sporting events, supporting their passions, or simply being their biggest fan. But her greatest joy in life by far was being a grandmother. Her heart overflowed with love for her grandchildren, and nothing made her happier than seeing them smile. She made it her mission to ensure they had everything they could ever want or need, showering them with affection, support, and unwavering devotion. They were her world, and she loved them more deeply than words could ever express.

She often sacrificed her own comfort to bring joy to others, embodying kindness and generosity in every aspect of her life. Kathy’s life was a testament to love, faith, and joy. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to shine through the traditions she created and the love she gave so freely.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for family members and close friends.
