It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kelly Jo Stumph, age 53, of Lancaster, Ohio, who left this world on October 2, 2025. Born in Lancaster to Irene Binkley-Smith and Mike Gilbert Tallerico, Kelly was lovingly raised by her mother, Irene, and her late stepfather, Michael Smith. A proud graduate of Lancaster High School, she carried the spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life.
Kelly was a devoted wife to James Stumph and a loving mother to her two daughters, Clara Stumph-Riggs and Amber Stumph. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Kelly had a passion for life that was evident in her love for long walks with James, where they would share laughter and create memories together. She also had a unique fondness for collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia, a testament to her vibrant personality and love for music.
For 18 years, Kelly dedicated herself to her work at Rally's/Checkers, where she was known for her hard work and friendly demeanor. Her colleagues and customers alike appreciated her warm spirit and unwavering commitment to her job.
Kelly is survived by her beloved husband, James; her daughters, Clara (Dustin Riggs) and Amber; her mother, Irene Binkley-Smith; her sister, Holly Tallerico; her niece, Hayley Tobin (Aaron Tobin); her stepbrother, Clayton Smith; her nephews Sebastian Smith and Trent Kilbarger; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Michael Smith, and her stepbrother, Andrew Smith.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The family invites those who wish to honor Kelly's memory to reach out for details. In this time of sorrow, we remember Kelly for her kindness, her laughter, and the love she shared with all who knew her. She will forever remain in our hearts.
