Ken passed away at his home in New Braunfels, Texas on September 20, 2024 at the age of 60. He was born in Portland, Oregon on November 22, 1963 and during his first year moved with his parents to Medford, Oregon. He grew up in Medford attending elementary school through high school graduating in 1982. He enrolled at Oregon State University where he became a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. As an upperclassman, he transferred to the University of Oregon. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. A couple of years after that he received his Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine School of Business.
In 1989, Ken married his longtime sweetheart, Amannda Bushnell, also from Medford. They lived for a short time in California where Ken worked for the San Francisco Giants baseball team. They soon moved to Seattle where Ken worked for Microsoft for several years. He left to manage his own successful intranet software business. As an innovative entrepreneur, Ken led several companies throughout his business career.
Ken and Amannda sadly divorced after 30 years of marriage. Ken lived the last 3 years of his life in Texas. He is survived by his three children; Clayton (daughter-in-law Hannah Schneider); Harleigh Schneider; and Cole Schneider all residing in San Francisco. He is also survived by Amannda Schneider of San Francisco; his parents, Omer and Lynne Schneider of Gresham, OR; his sister, Jennifer Schneider; and nephews, Rowan Anderson and Kaelan Anderson of Portland, OR. In January 2025 a Celebration of Ken's life was held at his parents' home attended by family and friends. Ken is lovingly remembered for his spontaneous humorous rhymes and his love of music. He loved his family intensely and was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. He is greatly missed. His urn has been placed in the mausoleum at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon.
