Mr. Kenneth William "Ken" Stavnitski, 75, passed away on October 19, 2025, in Ocala, Florida. He grew up and raised his family in Fairfield, CT and later moved to Wallingford, CT. Born on December 10, 1949, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Ken lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and hard work.

Ken was the beloved husband of the late Judith K. Stavnitski (Daniels), with whom he shared many cherished years. Together they built a loving home and raised three children: Danielle M. Schroder, Kenneth W. Stavnitski Jr., and Amanda C. Volturno. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren—Holley Stavnitski, Hanna Stavnitski, Raine Volturno, and Daisy Volturno—who brought him immense pride and joy.

He is also remembered with love and adoration by his sister Barbara Donahue and her husband Bing; his cousin Terry Fulco and daughters Heather & Zoe; his sons-in-law Joe Schroder and Vincent Volturno; in-laws Donald & Grace Daniels, Andrea Bria and their families; newphews—David, Bobby, Randy, Shawn, Andrew, Bob Jr., Damon and Glenn; nieces- Anne, Dawn-Marie and Faye countless extended family members and friends.

Ken was predeceased by his parents George and Mary Stavnitski; his brother George; cousins Shelly and Steven Dominko.

A faithful Catholic throughout his life, Ken attended St. Thomas Aquinas School in Fairfield, Connecticut, and was a longtime parishioner at St. Ann’s Church in Bridgeport. His faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.

Ken began his professional journey in the grocery business before becoming a car wash owner—a role he held for many years with dedication and pride. In retirement, he found fulfillment driving a school bus, continuing to serve his community with the same warmth that defined him.

In the years since his wife's passing, Ken loved his rabbits and two dogs with complete care & tenderness.

Those who knew Ken will remember him as kind-hearted, respectful, joyful—and always accepting of others. With an effortless gift of gab and an open heart, he never met a stranger. His presence brought comfort to those around him; he had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Known to many as "Sharkey" or "Pops."

May Kenneth William Stavnitski’s memory be a blessing to all who knew him. A Funeral Mass will be held on
November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Saint Mary Church
70 Gulf Street, Milford, CT 06460.
Following the Mass, there will be a luncheon celebration to honor Ken's life. All are welcome.
