Kimberly AR Jolls, 58, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Born on July 14, 1967, in Rome, New York, Kimberly was the daughter of Paul and Laura Rusyniak.
Kimberly's life was defined by compassion, curiosity, and a deep commitment to education. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and went on to receive her Master's degree in English Education from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. Her academic accomplishments were a testament to her love of learning and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Her first teaching position took her abroad to Izmir, Turkey, where she taught English and began a lifelong dedication to education and cultural exchange.
In February 2000, Kimberly moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and married the love of her life, Curtis Jolls. Their marriage was built on deep affection, mutual respect, and shared adventures.
Professionally, Kimberly brought intelligence and integrity to every role she held. Her career included impactful positions at Sylvan Learning Centers, CADD Centers of Florida, Applied Software Technology, Inc., Graitec Group and Autodesk—a Fortune 500 company—where her work was highly respected and valued.
She was a talented artist whose creativity touched many, and she found great joy in cultivating orchids, which she loved dearly. Kimberly also had a special place in her heart for animals. She and Curtis lovingly cared for three rescue kittens—each of whom appeared at different times at their front door, as if they knew they had found their forever home.
Kimberly will be remembered for her brilliant mind, kind spirit, and quiet strength. She had a gift for bringing people together and a heart full of generosity. Her absence is deeply felt by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
