LaDonna Marquis, née O’Kelley, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was peacefully called back to our Heavenly Father on September 20, 2025, at the age of 70 in San Antonio, Texas.

Born in Midland, Texas on February 28, 1955, to William Monroe and Luella Maye O’Kelley, LaDonna was the youngest of her three brothers and two sisters. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strength, strong will, and spit-fire heart. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, always there with a listening ear, a warm embrace, or sound advice. She enjoyed cooking with family, playing games, working in her garden and watching the hummingbirds.

A longtime resident of Refugio, LaDonna was preceded in death by both her parents; her brother, Mykel O’Kelley; her sister, Ginger White; and her youngest son, Charles Robert “Robbie” Marquis. She is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Marquis; children, Christopher Marquis of Victoria, Texas and Daniel Marquis (Annie) of Portland, Texas; three grandchildren, Alyssa Gallegos (Carlos) of Kyle, Texas, Synjin and Torryn Marquis both of Portland, Texas; six great-grandchildren; brothers, David and Butch O’Kelley; and sister, Wanda Cochraine.

A memorial with a potluck lunch will be held on Sunday, October 26th from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Padilla Hall located at 246 Fairgrounds Road in Refugio. Bring a dish and share your favorite memories amongst family and friends. If you have a picture you would like to bring, please do so.
