Leonard Harris Turk

Leonard ("Lenny") Harris Turk, 89, of White Plains, New York, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born on May 9, 1936, to David and Rose Turk, Lenny grew up in the Bronx and later in Mount Vernon with his brother, Julian. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1958, where he met the love of his life, Carol (Rabb) Turk, who would become his wife of 66 years.

Following graduation from college, Lenny joined his father in the family stock brokerage firm, Diamond, Turk & Company, and built a long and respected career as a trader on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. Known for his integrity, sharp mind, and calm demeanor, he earned the friendship and respect of his colleagues throughout his career.

Lenny was a man of wisdom, and loved sharing advice and guidance. He was happiest with a good book in hand or on the golf course with Carol by his side. A lifelong New York sports fan, he rooted faithfully for his Yankees and Giants through every season.

Family was the center of his world, and nothing brought him greater joy than time spent with his children and grandchildren, whose achievements and laughter filled his later years. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol Turk; his sons, Brad and Warren; his daughter-in-law, Laurie; and his beloved grandchildren, Mia, Maya, Blakely, Lyla, and Logan.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at 10am at Larchmont Temple, Larchmont, New York, followed by a burial and then lunch at Carol's apartment building in the resident lounge.

Shiva hours are as follows: Wednesday, October 22, from 6pm-8pm, Thursday, October 23 from 1pm-4pm, 7pm-9pm, Friday October 24 from 1pm-4pm at Carol's apartment; and Saturday October 25th from 7pm-10pm at Brad and Laurie's NYC apartment.
